Net Set Go

Woolworths NetSetGo is Australia’s leading grassroots netball program, designed for children aged 5-10 to experience the joy of netball in a fun, safe, and welcoming community.

Our mission is to develop confident, and active kids who will grow a lifelong love of team sport, all while building essential skills.

Featuring three age-based phases – Net, Set and Go – and tailored activities with a focus on learning and inclusivity, our program is the perfect balance of fun, skill development and friendship

Net

5-6 years

In this tier, children are introduced to the basics of netball through fun, simple activities that keep them moving and engaged. On game day, they spend time learning and then playing modified rules on a modified ring. Coaches are heavily involved with game play offering instruction and assistance where needed.

Set
7-8 years

Our Set program will see children build on their movement skills while being introduced to exciting netball techniques and strategies. During game play it is a step up from the Net program, still playing modified rules but slightly more advanced from the Net program. Coaches will umpire their own teams to assist in game play and instruction.

Go

9-10 years

Children will refine their netball techniques while continuing to improve their overall coordination. In some cases will start to play competition netball. Depending on ability, some teams will move to a competition phase as an introduction to full rules. Players move to a regular height goal post to assist in the transition into the Junior ranks. Umpires are allocated to these games with Coaches sticking to coaching only.
